With our Open House only a week away, we at Spectrum would like to share a bit more about the charities we will be sponsoring as well as some of their most requested donation items.
Women and Children’s Horizons has been serving the Kenosha area since 1976, providing “support, shelter, advocacy, education, training, and healing services to victims of sexual and domestic abuse, their families, their children, and the community.”
Walkin’ in My Shoes has been dedicated to helping the homeless veterans, youth, seniors, and families of Kenosha for 19 years. They assist our community's most vulnerable population to secure shelter, receive resources, and provide life skill building activities that promote self-sufficiency.
Women and Children’s Horizons is currently in need of:
- Pillows & pillow protectors
- Twin sheets, blankets, and comforters
- Gas, phone, and grocery cards
- Winter coats for adults and children
- Snow boots
- Personal care items (feminine products, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, razors, shaving cream, hand soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, floss)
Walkin’ in My Shoes is currently in need of:
- Women’s leggings
- Men’s activewear/sweatpants
- New Baby Oneies sizes, Newborn, 0-3 Months, 3-6 Months, 6-9 Months, 9 Months, 12 Months, 18 Months and 24 Months.
- Pots/Pans/Skillets and other cookware
- Twin and queen-sized sheets, comforters, and blankets
